Gangtok, Sikkim

Overview:
Gangtok is the capital city of Sikkim, located in the eastern part of the state. At an altitude of about 1,650 meters (5,410 feet), it offers stunning views of the Himalayas and serves as a major hub for tourism in the region.

Attractions:

  • MG Road (Mahatma Gandhi Road):

    • The heart of Gangtok, lined with shops, cafes, and restaurants. It is a vibrant pedestrian hub and a great place to shop and dine.

  • Tsomgo Lake (Changu Lake):

    • About 40 kilometers from Gangtok, this glacial lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and is a popular spot for sightseeing and photography.

  • Nathula Pass:

    • A border pass connecting India and Tibet, Nathula is accessible from Gangtok and offers breathtaking views and historical significance.

Daywise Tour Itinerary

DAY 1

Arrival & Transfer to Gangtok :

Our representative will be there to receive the Guest at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) - He will assist guest for the forwarding journey to Darjeeling– Reach Darjeeling and check into the hotel - In the evening one is free to stroll around Mall / local market - Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

DAY 2

Excursion to Changu Lake & Baba Temple :

After breakfast day excursion to the oval shaped changu lake /Tsomgo Lake (40 kms from Gangtok departure in the morning) - situated at a height of 3,780 mts. with an average depth of 50 ft and home to the Brahminy duck and several migratory birds. On the way stop at Kyongnosla The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Travel to Baba Mandir another 17 kms beyond Tsomgo lake.Return to Gangtok. Overnight halt at Gangtok Hotel.

DAY 3

Gangtok to Pelling Transfer :

After breakfast transfer to Pelling and check in at the hotel .Rest of the day is free for individual activity. Enjoy the local beauty of pelling .Overnight stay at Pelling.

DAY 4

Pelling Local Sightseen :

After breakfast start for full day sightseeing which includes Rimbi Waterfall , kanchanjungha Waterfall, Khecheopalri Lake, Kechipalri Monastery, Rabdantse ruins , Pemagyangtse Monastery,Heliad ground, Rimbi orange garden, bird Century Park. Overnight stay at pelling.

DAY 5

Departure to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) :

After breakfast transfer to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) /Siliguri - Guest are advised to start early and not to rush - Forwarding Journey.
